Advice to travellers returning from Wuhan, China

If you have travelled to Wuhan City in China in the last 2 weeks and feel unwell, call NHS 111 for advice.

Do not go straight to a doctor's surgery or hospital

We now have an appointment checking in touch screen in the waiting area of reception. This will save patients having to wait at reception to check in.

If you need assistance to be shown how to use it please ask a member of staff.

Missed Appointments -If you are unable to attend your appointment please inform the surgery so we are able to offer these to other patients.  In January there were 59 Doctor and 61 Nurse appointments that were unattended.

Prescription forms (ie not medication) are now collected from the Enquiries Desk.  Medication is collected from the Dispensary.

Test Results

test_vials2If your doctor sends you for blood tests or X-rays, you should always ring to confirm the result. Although your doctor will normally try to contact you if the result is significantly abnormal, you should not assume that it is normal because you have not heard anything, as results can sometimes 'go astray'.

Most test results are available after a week although some results may take longer. Please ring for results after 2:00 pm. The number to ring for enquiries is 01474 814288.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior written permission for their release.
