Telephone System Update

We are aware that there have been some issues regarding our current phone system, and for some time we have been looking at ways to improve our telephone system to ensure a better service for our patients.  

We have 5 lines in and out of the Practice which makes communication difficult and frustrating. We are pleased to inform you that in the next 3 months, we will be transferring to a new phone system, which is specially designed for GP surgeries and will help improve call flow and patient interaction.  

We will have a maximum of 3 inbound call lines as we do now, however it will enable patient call backs, so you do not have to wait on the phone if you do not wish to and the system will call you back when you are near the top of the phone queue. It will also enable all our team members to make outbound calls at any point without obstructing an inbound line.  

We will continue to use eConsult and all our links on our website for those that are able to use these systems or need to order repeat medication. As with any new system, there may be some teething problems and staff will be need to familiarise themselves with the system and its features, so we ask that you bear with us during this time. In the meantime, the best way of contacting us is via eConsult if possible.  We thank you for your patience in advance, and look forward to providing a better patient experience.

You can contact the surgery in a variety of ways, not just by telephone. For administrative queries please use one of our online forms below and it will be passed to the relevent department. As our phone lines are extremely busy, eConsult is an alternative option for patients to contact the surgery for clinical or administrative services, during normal surgery working hours, and you will receive a response within 24 hours. Please do not email the surgery for appointments, please use eConsult. If you require URGENT medical care, please contact NHS 111 or 999 in an emergency.
